- drop soc specific code via compiler when the soc not enabled
(via cpu_is_xxx)
Today if we read the exid we will have the same value for 9g35 and 9m11
and we will need to check the cidr too
with the new implementation we just need to check the soc subtype
this will also allow to have specific virtual subtype for rm9200 which the
board will have to specify via at91rm9200_set_type(int) as we have no way to
detect it.
this implementation is inspired by the SH cpu detection support

On all at91 except rm9200 and x40 have the System Controller starts
at address 0xffffc000 and has a size of 16KiB.
On rm9200 it's start at 0xfffe4000 of 111KiB with non reserved data starting
at 0xfffff000
This patch removes the individual definitions of AT91_BASE_SYS and
replaces them with a common version at base 0xfffffc000 and size 16KiB
and map the same memory space

Now most of ARM machines has the alsmot same __clk_get/put() macro
So place it at the arch/arm/include/asm/clkdev.h and remove the reduntant header files
But some machines don't have the same form as above. It can use the machince specific clkdev file by HAVE_MACH_CLKDEV config
Now there are only 3 caese.

The recently modified nand buswitth configuration is not aligned with
board reality: the double footprint on boards is always populated with 8bits
buswidth nand flashes.
So we have to consider that without particular configuration the 8bits
buswidth is selected by default.
Moreover, the previous logic was always using !board_have_nand_8bit(), we
change it to a simpler: board_have_nand_16bit().

I am not 100% sure this is the right thing to do, but it makes the
atmel-ssc driver happy on my at91rm9200 board.
This unifies the con_id across all at91 machines.
The atmel-ssc driver expects the con_id to be "pclk" or it will fail probing.

I no longer work at Bluewater Systems. Update my email address accordingly. I
have deleted my email address from C files rather than change it. This
was suggested by several people, since the commit from my new email
address will cause scripts/get_maintainer.pl to function properly. I
have not added the .mailmap entry as suggested by Joe because I think
it is no longer necessary if I touch all the files which had my name
in them.

Needed to update to apply fixes for which the old branch was too
outdated.
The AT91 MCI has special SDIO transfer types: SDIO block and SDIO byte
transfers, but at91_mci driver doesn't use them and handles all SDIO
transfers as ordinary MMC block transfers. This causes problems for
multiple-block SDIO transfers (in particular for 256-bytes blocks).
Fix this situation by checking the opcode for SDIO CMD53 and setting
the transfer type in the AT91_MCI_CMDR register properly.
This patch was tested with libertas SDIO driver: problem with TX
timeouts on big packets was eliminated.

As PControl G20 is a carrier board for the Stamp9G20 SoM, some code can
be shared. Therefore board-stamp9g20.c is refactored to allow reusing the
SoM initialization and board-pcontrol-g20.c is modified to use it.

The uhpck clock should be divided from the utmi clock, not its parent
(main). This change is mostly cosmetic as the uhpck rate value is not
used anywhere except for the debugfs clock output.

For power management at91_pm_enter() routine, use the cpu_do_idle() for a
rock solid "wait for interrupt" implementation.
For AT91SAM9 ARM 926 based chips, we can exceed the cache line length as
we can access RAM even while in self-refresh mode.
We keep plain access to CP15 for at91rm9200 as this feature is not
available: instructions have to be in a single cache line.

SDRAM smoothly before resetting the chip.

Generalize assembler reset routine to allow use on several at91sam9 chips.
This patch replace double definitions of SDRAM controller registers and RSTC
registers with use of classical header files.
For this rework, we remove the not needed icache flush as it is already
done in the calling function: arm_machine_restart().
Rename at91sam9g20_reset.S to generalize to several chips.

Rather than checking the MMU status in every instance of addruart, do it
once in kernel/debug.S, and change the existing addruart macros to
return both physical and virtual addresses. The main debug code can then
select the appropriate address to use.
This will also allow us to retreive the address of a uart for the MMU
state that we're not current in.

According to Atmel, their 926T processors (AT91 post RM9200) requires
'Wait for Interrupt' mode be entered right after disabling the processor clock
in order to minimise current consumption when idle, so do both provided we're
not running on a 920T (an RM9200).

Many Atmel SOC are embedding a MACB controller. This patch removes the long
dependency line for this Atmel MACB ethernet driver configuration entry.
The HAVE_NET_MACB configuration option is located in the net Kconfig file
as it may be setup by ARM/AT91 and AVR32 chips.

The simpler AT91x40 processors do not have the same power management
controller as the new AT91 devices. They do have a simpler power
controller module that we can use to disable the CPU clock at idle
time. Add code to support that.

The board-sam9g20ek-2slot-mmc.c was a revision of the at91sam9g20ek
since board revision C. It contains 2 sd/mmc slots.
This merge keep the support of the old machine ID
MACH_AT91SAM9G20EK_2MMC for backward compatibility.
Now we use the ATAG to pass the hardware functionality to kernel
with this board revision encoding
bit 0:
0 => 1 sd/mmc slot
1 => 2 sd/mmc slots connectors (board from revision C)
system_rev tested on Barebox commit d8f3ee103a9f4bd

Use a correct udelay value to get bus speed around 100KHz. The udelay
value was most likely copied from the older devices, but the 9g45
is signicantly faster (400MHz, DDR, ..), so a udelay of 2 gives a
bus speed of around 190KHz, which is too fast for some devices.
A udelay value of 5 gives a bus speed of around 90KHz here.

The sd/mmc data structure is not used if SPI is selected. The configuration
of PIO on the board prevent from using both interfaces at the same time
(board dependent).
Remove the warnings at compilation time adding a preprocessor condition.

These two structs are referenced by cam60_spi_devices. The latter is
copied at init time to kmalloced memory and so the copy isn't freed after
booting. So it must not contain references to .init memory.
This isn't noticed by modpost as cam60_spi_devices is in .init.data, too.

cam60_spi_devices is passed to at91_add_device_spi which calls
spi_register_board_info. The latter makes a copy of it, so living in
.init.data is OK.
This fixes the following warning in cam60_defconfig:

Allow the vbus signal to optionally use polling. This is required if
the vbus signal is connected to an non-interrupting io expander for
example. If vbus is in polling mode, then it is assumed that the vbus
gpio may sleep. Also add an option to have vbus be an active low
signal. Both options are set in the platform data for the device.

This rework allows to address tow memory controllers. AT91SAM9263 and
AT91SAM9G45 family have tow SDRAM or DDR/SDRAM controllers. Power management
should take care of this.
This patch modify the way RAM IP header files are implemented to allow
access to registers of both controllers ; it also adds some macros.
We also modify the power management files to use those modified header files.
Slow clock (assembly) and regular power management functions are synchronized
for setting of RAM self-refresh procedure:
(lpr & ~AT91_DDRSDRC_LPCB) | AT91_DDRSDRC_LPCB_SELF_REFRESH
Note that AT91RM9200 is not impacted by this modification.

since codec driver requires several voltage supplies and none are
provided currently. As requires voltages are hardwired to 3V3, use fixed
voltage regulator for this chip.

Disable the processor clock when the CPU is idle.
This saves much more power than merely entering 'Wait for Interrupt' mode.
Since JTAG-debugging doesn't work when the processor clock is switched off,
make it conditional on CONFIG_DEBUG_KERNEL.

AT91: when turning off the PLLs during suspend, don't wait for the lock
flag to be set. Previously the code would always run into the loop
limitation of 1000 iterations because the flag is never set when turning
the PLLs off.

at91 slow-clock resume: Don't wait for a disabled PLL to lock.
We run into this problem with the PLLB on the at91: ohci-at91 disables
the PLLB when going to suspend. The slowclock code however tries to do
the same: It saves the PLLB register value and when restoring the value
during resume, it waits for the PLLB to lock again. However the PLL will
never lock and the loop would run into its timeout because the slowclock
code just stored and restored an empty register.
This fixes the problem by only restoring PLLA/PLLB when they were enabled
at suspend time.

The change introduced in patch 5596/1 used incorrect bracing which
resulted in the AT24 EEPROM no longer being registered. This patch
corrects the bracing and allows both the WM8731 audio device and AT24
EEPROM device to be registered.

on AT91 the timer irq is shared, so the handler might be entered without
irqs being disabled. Though this should not happen as the timer irq is
registered early, there have been some reports on the mailing list.
To make debugging that problem easier next time it pops up a
WARN_ON_ONCE is added to the handler if irqs are not off.

Allow the use of another DMA controller driver in atmel-mci sd/mmc driver.
This adds a generic dma_slave pointer to the mci platform structure where
we can store DMA controller information. In atmel-mci we use information
provided by this structure to initialize the driver (with new helper
functions that are architecture dependant).
This also adds at32/avr32 chip modifications to cope with this new access
method.

This patch adds the support for cpuidle on AT91 SoCs, taken from the
cpuidle support in mach-kirkwood.
cpuidle needs sdram_selfrefresh_enable and _disable, so move their
definition to a separate header file instead of duplicating the code
already used in pm.c.

cpu_is_xxx() macros are identifying generic at91sam9g45 chip. This patch adds
the capacity to differentiate Engineering Samples and final lots through the
inclusion of at91_cpu_fully_identify() and the related chip IDs with chip

This is the at91 specific part of USB host integration. The EHCI high speed
controller has a companion OHCI controller to manage USB full and low speed.
They are sharing the same IRQ line and vbus pin.

Created a modified version of the at91sam9g20 evaluation kit platform
(board-sam9g20ek-2slot-mmc.c) and device support to make use of the
updated atmel-mci driver.
As the use of two slots modify GPIO pin allocation, we create another
board file.
This requires getting the most updated arch/arm/tools/mach-types from
http://www.arm.linux.org.uk/developer/machines/download.php to have the machine
type for the at91sam9g20ek-2slot-mmc board.

Atmel's AT91SAM9260B or AT91SAM9G20B with up to 64MB Strataflash,

This patch for at_hdmac adds the slave transfers capability to the Atmel DMA
controller available on some AT91 SOCs. This allow peripheral to memory and
memory to peripheral transfers with hardware handshaking.
Slave structure for controller specific information is passed through channel
private data. This at_dma_slave structure is defined in at_hdmac.h header file
and relative hardware definition are moved to this file from at_hdmac_regs.h.
Doing this we allow the channel configuration from platform definition code.
This work is intensively based on dw_dmac and several slave implementations.

This AHB DMA Controller (aka HDMA or DMAC on AT91 systems) is availlable on
at91sam9rl chip. It will be used on other products in the future.
This first release covers only the memory-to-memory tranfer type. This is the
only tranfer type supported by this chip. On other products, it will be used
also for peripheral DMA transfer (slave API support to come).
I used dmatest client without problem in different configurations to test it.

Here are the at91 specific files dedicated to the at91sam9g45 series. They
mimic the traditional at91 way of managing chips & boards.
The first board that embeds at91sam9g45 chip is the AT91SAM9G45-EKES. In
the future, the main board for this 9g45 series will be the
AT91SAM9M10G45-EK (I choose this last name for the board file).
Simple drivers are enabled in _devices and board- files. Newer peripheral
support will be added in future patches.

- USART
- SPI
- Ethernet
- NAND flash
- LCD
- gpio/joystick/buttons
- leds and pwm

Remove at91_gpiolib_request. It returns -EPERM if a request pin is not
in GPIO mode, however we want to be able to gpio_request alternative
function pins to reserve them, and in some cases we need to be able to
use the gpiolib functions on alternative function pins.

In clock.c file the clock management is grouped by cpu with cpu_is_xxx()
function. This lead to some kind of difficulties to read this file and
maintainability issues as the number of AT91 cpus & PLLs/clocks is growing.
In this patch, I try to group clock functionality together and match cpus with
this functionality set.
An update to at91_pmc.h is needed to cover some new PMC possibilities (and
some update in comments).

The flexible array in the USBH platform data is not safe to copy. The
compiler will not allocate any extra memory for the non-init platform
data structure (in the *_devices.c files) since it isn't given any
defaults at compile time. When the probe function attempts to address
that array, it will actually attempt to access data in an adjacent
structure.
Since there are currently no (known) implementations of the at91 USBH
IP with more than 2 vbus pins, I am capping the value at 2. If somebody
tries to assign more, then the compiler will produce a warning.

Change pr_debug to pr_err on error paths in the AT91 power management
code. All of the errors will result in the cpu not going into the
suspend state. This patch makes it possible to identify problems with
suspend when power management debugging is not enabled.

OMAP wishes to pass state to the boot loader upon reboot in order to
instruct it whether to wait for USB-based reflashing or not. There is
already a facility to do this via the reboot() syscall, except we ignore
the string passed to machine_restart().
This patch fixes things to pass this string to arch_reset(). This means
that we keep the reboot mode limited to telling the kernel _how_ to
perform the reboot which should be independent of what we request the
boot loader to do.

This is IDE host driver for AT91 (SAM9, CAP9, AT572D940HF) Static Memory
Controller with Compact Flash True IDE Mode logic.
Driver have to switch 8/16 bit bus width when accessing Task Tile or Data
Register. Moreover some extra things need to be done when setting PIO mode.
Only PIO mode is used, hardware have no DMA support. If interrupt line is
connected through GPIO extra quirk is needed to cope with fake interrupts.

We've discovered that our AT91SAM9260 board consumed too much power when
returning from a slowclock low-power mode. RAM self-refresh is enabled in
a bootloader in our case, this is how we saw a difference. Estimated ca.
30mA more on 4V battery than the same state before powersaving.
After a small research we found that there seems to be a bogus
sdram_selfrefresh_disable() call at the end of at91_pm_enter() call, which
overwrites the LPR register with uninitialized value. Please find the
suggested patch attached.
This patch fixes correct restoring of LPR register of the Atmel AT91 SDRAM
controller when returning from a power saving mode.

The recently merged AT91SAM9 watchdog driver uses the
AT91SAM9X_WATCHDOG config variable, whereas the original version of
the driver (and the platform support code) used AT91SAM9_WATCHDOG.
This causes the watchdog platform_device to never be registered, and
therefore the driver not to be initialized.
This patch:
- updates the platform support code to use AT91SAM9X_WATCHDOG.
- includes <linux/io.h> to fix compile error (same fix as was applied
to at91rm9200_wdt.c)
- fixes comment regarding watchdog clock-rates in at91rm9200.
